Redhawk Engages Permitting & Environmental Consultant for Copper Creek

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - Jan. 12, 2006) - Redhawk Resources, Inc. ("Redhawk") (TSX VENTURE:RDK) is pleased to announce it has retained Tucson, Arizona based WestLand Resources, Inc. ("WestLand") to provide permitting and environmental services for the Company's recently purchased Copper Creek Project.

Copper Creek is a copper-molybdenum project located 75 road miles northeast of Tucson and 15 miles northeast of San Manuel, Arizona containing copper breccia and copper porphyry deposits. On January 10, 2006 Redhawk reported Measured & Indicated Resources for three of the project's copper breccia deposits.

WestLand has provided engineering, environmental, cultural resource, and permitting services to public agencies and private companies since 1997.

Kathy G. Whitman, a principal of WestLand, will be the lead person for Redhawk's cultural resource, environmental, and permitting requirements on the Copper Creek Project. Ms. Whitman is the former owner and president of Whitman & Company, a Tucson based environmental permitting firm. Ms. Whitman has more than 22 years of comprehensive environmental experience in Arizona specializing in permitting, regulatory affairs, and facility compliance.

Previous clients include Rio Tinto, Phelps Dodge, ASARCO, Cambior, BHP, Equitorial, Cyprus Miami Mining Corporation, Kennecott Exploration Company, Coconino National Forest, Santa Fe National Forest, Coronado National Forest, Arizona Office of the Attorney General, City of Prescott, City of Bullhead City, Yavapai County, Gila County and others.
