Redhawk Resources, Inc.: Appointment of Directors and Formation of Technical Advisory Board

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - July 6, 2007) - Redhawk Resources, Inc. ("Redhawk") (TSX VENTURE:RDK)(FRANKFURT:QF7) is pleased to announce that Kalidas V. Madhavpeddi, Darryl J. Yea and J. Stephen Barley have been appointed to the board of directors of Redhawk, replacing Fred Davidson and Richard Somerville, and joining directors Charles Pitcher, Bruce Briggs and Steve Bastable.

Board of Directors

Mr. Madhavpeddi brings over 25 years of experience in business development, corporate strategy, global mergers and acquisitions, marketing, trading and sales to Redhawk's board of directors. Mr. Madhavpeddi has a master of science in industrial management from the University of Iowa and completed the advanced management program at Harvard Business School. After over 25 years with Phelps Dodge, at that time the world's largest publicly traded copper company, Mr. Madhavpeddi now works as president of Azteca Consulting LLC, an investment and advisory company to the mining industry. Mr. Madhavpeddi has held various executive positions at Phelps Dodge including senior vice-president, business development; president, Phelps Dodge Wire and Cable Co.; and senior vice-president, Phelps Dodge Sales Company. Mr. Madhavpeddi's business and operations experience will be invaluable as Redhawk advances its copper-moly project in Arizona.

Mr. Yea has extensive experience in operations, business development and strategy, mergers and acquisitions, and finance. After serving as Chairman, President & Chief Executive Officer of then TSX-listed Datawest Solutions Inc. from 2000 until 2004, at which time it was acquired by Open Solutions Inc., Mr. Yea became active in Investco Capital Management Inc., a private company that invests in a diverse range of businesses and projects and advises on corporate and strategic issues. Prior to Datawest, he was President & CEO of a TSX-listed parent company of two national financial services businesses operating in the brokerage and financial planning industries. Mr. Yea has a B.Com. degree from the Sauder School of Business at UBC and currently sits on its faculty advisory board. He was also on the board of governors of the predecessor to the TSX Venture Exchange and chaired several of its committees.

Mr. Barley has over 25 years of experience in the public corporate arena assisting in the structuring of mergers, acquisitions and providing corporate finance advice. After 15 years of private practice as a corporate finance and securities lawyer, Mr. Barley left the practice of law in 1997 to become President of CHM Financial Services Inc., a private company offering advice to and investing in numerous public companies engaged in the resource and technology sector. Currently he is involved in a number of TSX listed resource companies engaged in substantial international projects and is engaged as Chairman, President or a director in those businesses. Mr. Barley remains a member in good standing of the Law Societies of British Columbia and Alberta and holds a B.Com. degree from Mount Allison University and a LLB. from Dalhousie University.

Technical Advisory Board

Redhawk is also pleased to announce the formation of a technical advisory board consisting of John A. Greig, M.Sc., P.Geo., Gregory E. McKelvey, M.S. Geol. and John Perry, P.Geo. These industry experts will provide their extensive and diverse experiences to advise and assist the board of directors and management of Redhawk on mining related exploration, development, operational and strategic matters.

Mr. Greig has, since 1969, played a key role in a number of successful companies involved principally in the mining industry in Canada and abroad. He was founder, director and senior officer of Sutton Resources Ltd., Cumberland Resources Ltd., Eurozinc Mining Corp., Crown Resources Corp., and Redcorp Ventures Ltd. He has served on the board of directors of Winspear Resources, Dynamic Oil & Gas Ltd. and Shellbridge Oil & Gas Ltd. He is currently a director of Blackstone Ventures Inc. and Diamondex Resources Ltd.

Mr. McKelvey has more than forty years of extensive, international experience in Latin America, Africa and Europe in expanding responsibilities for significant mining companies such as Kennecott, Cominco, Homestake, and Phelps Dodge. He also acts as an Adjuct Faculty member at the University of Arizona in the International Center for Mining Health, Safety and Environment and worked for the USGS in Latin America. He has also consulted for Lundin, Codelco, Phelps Dodge, Newmont Mining, Gerald Meals and Quadra Mining. Among other things, Mr McKelvey has successfully directed and led innovative exploration efforts, resulting in the discovery and identification of several major ore deposits internationally.

Mr. Perry is a seasoned professional with more than thirty years experience in the mining industry. Most of his work has been performed for junior mining companies as a consulting geologist acting either as an independent or as part of a team of senior professionals, as required. He has experience with a diverse range of metallic mineral, industrial mineral, coal and gemstone deposits for both open-pit and underground mining situations. This includes porphyry Cu-Au and Cu-Mo deposits in North America and overseas. During his career Mr. Perry has developed a sound understanding of the strategic requirements for junior mining companies as they pertain to project development.

The Company also announces that it has granted, pursuant to its stock option plan, options to purchase an aggregate of 1,000,000 common shares. The options were granted at an exercise price of $0.60 for a period of five years to directors and advisors.
