Redhill Resources Corp.: Additional Mapping and Sampling Completed at Honey Comb Hills

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Sept. 1, 2011) - Redhill Resources Corp. (TSX VENTURE:RHR) ("Redhill" or the "Company") is pleased to announce the results of the additional mapping, sampling and soil grid at the Company's Honey Comb Hills Rare Earth Property in Juab County, Utah. The Honey Comb Hills Property (the "Property") is 20 miles west of IBC Advanced Alloys Project also in Juab County.

The Property encompasses an alkalic rhyolite flow dome complex which exhibits highly anomalous rare earth elements, lithium, beryllium, and rubidium. Mineralization occurs throughout the dome but appears to be higher in grade within a flat to gently dipping sequence of rhyolite tuffs and breccias.

Sixty eight additional rock chip samples and 319 soil samples were collected during this time. Mapping and sampling was also conducted in two historical adits on the property. Results from the soil grid suggest that lithium (Li), beryllium (Be), rubidium (Rb) and TREO (total rare earth oxides, including lanthanum to lutetium plus yttrium) mineralization may be present under shallow cover to the east flank of the main Honeycombs ridge. Elevated values, particularly in rubidium and total rare earth oxides, on that flank may represent a down-dropped block as suggested by earlier geophysics. Rubidium is used in "photocells", a device for converting light energy into electrical energy that potentially could be used to reduce the combustion of fossil fuels.

In addition, sampling and mapping of a decline excavated in rhyolite breccias show highly anomalous Li, Rb and weakly anomalous TREO assays from 460-1050 ppm, 471-1035 ppm, and 392-461 ppm respectively. In contrast, samples from an adit excavated on the overlying more massive rhyolite exhibit higher Rb assays, lower Li assay and similar TREO assays – 1135-1210 ppm, 150-230 ppm and 454-493 ppm respectively. This suggests that the lower rhyolite breccia may be more amenable to lithium mineralization and the upper unit more enriched in rubidium.

The Honey Comb Hills Property is in the same county, and hosts a similar geologic environment, to nearby Spor Mountain Mine. Spor Mountain Mine is owned by Brush Engineered Metals and produces approximately 48,000 tonnes of bertrandite ore annually, grading 0.35% beryllium, representing nearly 60% of world production as reported by the US Geological Survey ("USGS"). Studies conducted by the USGS and by the U.S. Bureau of Mines in the 1960's confirm the occurrence and grade of the beryllium deposits in this area.
