Redline Expands Its Global Reach With New WiMAX-based Wireless Solutions

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - June 28, 2005) -

Redline's product family now offers the most extensive 3.5 GHz WiMAX-based solutions available today

Redline Communications, a leading provider of standards-based broadband wireless equipment, today announced it will expand its family of WiMAX-based products to include coverage of the 3.3 to 3.4 and the 3.6 to 3.8 GHz spectrum. The company will be showcasing its first 3.5 GHz solution (for the 3.4 - 3.6 GHz band) with a live over-the-air demonstration at the Wireless Communications Association's WCA 2005 event in Washington, DC from June 28 - July 1, 2005.

The new radios, initially available on Redline's award winning AN-100 platform, will be added to Redline's RedMAX™ portfolio to create the most comprehensive 3.5 GHz offering of WiMAX-based products. Redline's RedMAX™ products, which incorporate, the Intel PRO/Wireless 5116 WiMAX modem silicon on the SU (Subscriber Unit) with Redline's industry leading 2nd generation 802.16 MAC, and 3rd generation OFDM PHY, will be submitted for WiMAX Forum Certification™. The RedMAX product line is expected to be commercially available before year-end and will enable Redline to meet the demand for its WiMAX-based solutions in International markets including countries throughout Asia, Latin America, and Europe.

"Redline has already generated significant interest in these bands, through both trials and deployment of production networks, which we believe offers significant potential for WiMAX products," said Keith Doucet, Vice President, Marketing and Product Management. "With the introduction of products for these additional frequency bands, we can bring Redline's industry-leading WiMAX-based technology to more customers worldwide."

"Redline will continue to expand our product offerings to include RedMAX equipment for other bands including the 2.5 GHz and 5.8 GHz products." added Doucet. "We are focused on an aggressive product development strategy which also includes migration from fixed to mobile WiMAX-based products, and the future announcement of a new chassis based platform that will facilitate the adoption of Redline's RedMAX products among major carriers and other operators."
