Redmond 'LOLUFOLD' Lee Wins Sky Poker Primo

Following on from Julian Thew's success in the Double Stack, Team Sky Poker's Redmond Lee captures the Primo for over GBP 3,600.

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM--(Marketwire - Aug. 15, 2011) - Online poker room Sky Poker has once again proved to be a happy hunting ground for poker games expert Redmond 'LOLUFOLD' Lee this week after he captured first place in the £12,500 Primo on Sunday for a £3,685 payday.

A total of 273 players played in the tournament, generating a prize pool of £13,650. With the action covered live from the Sky Poker TV studios on Sky Channel 865, it was Lee who handled the pressure of the final table best, defeating 'Fat_Uncle' heads-up after a gruelling 5 ½ hours of play.

Redmond Lee is no stranger to the TV cameras though, having appeared on season 1 of the UK Cash Game, as well as having the eyes of the world on him after finishing 23rd in the 2010 World Series of Poker Main Event – the best performance by a Brit that year.

"It's no surprise to see Redmond take this down" said Sky Poker's Tony Kendall. "Whether he's in the WSOP Main Event, a £10-£20 cash game on Sky Poker, or a £50 freezeout, he applies himself equally and wholly. Watching him on the Sky Poker UK Cash Game was proof of that, if proof were needed. Class act? Just a bit."

His awesome performances in live poker games tournaments and on the virtual felt have earned Lee the respect of a plethora of players. His recent success on the UK Cash Game against the likes of Neil Channing and Paul Jackson will surely boost his reputation around the UK poker scene even further.

If you want to pit your wits against Redmond Lee, you can do so at Skypoker.com. Satellites into tournaments including the £12,500 Primo run every day of the week, and the biggest tournaments are covered exclusively on Sky Poker TV.
