Redstar Intersects High Grade at North Bullfrog

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Sept. 5, 2007) - Redstar Gold Corp. (TSX VENTURE:RGC) is pleased to announce that significant gold mineralization was intersected at its North Bullfrog Project in south-western Nevada. The Phase I drill program consisted of six core holes totalling 1,305m (4,282 feet). The drill program was designed to test portions of three of the eight target areas developed by Redstar which contain widespread low grade gold mineralization with higher grade vein stockwork zones in volcanic host rocks. Mineralization at North Bullfrog is similar to the Bullfrog Mine (6 miles to the south), which produced approximately 2.3 million ounces of gold from several open pits between 1989 and 1999 and was operated by Barrick Gold Corporation. The program was completed by Talon Gold (U.S.), a 100%-owned subsidiary of International Tower Hill Mines Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:ITH)(AMEX:THM), who has the option to earn up to 70% interest in the project under terms announced in March, 2007.

Significant results:

- Hole NB0704 intersected 17.6 g/t gold over 0.40m (0.513 opt over 1.3ft) and 3.68 g/t gold over 1.2m (0.107 opt over 4.1ft) within a wider zone of 2.039 g/t gold over 8.04m (0.059 opt over 26.4ft) at the Pioneer target.

- Hole NB0702 intersected 2.06 g/t gold over 3.00m (0.060 opt over 9.8ft) within a wider zone of 1.11 g/t gold over 7.60m (0.032 opt over 24.9ft) at the Sierra Blanca target.

This first-phase drill program partially tested three of the eight large target areas on the project. Complete results are listed in Table 1. Additional information on the targets is available in the project summary page on the company's website at www.redstargold.com.

Interpretation of results:

The shallow mineralization in NB0704 occurs along the margins of a strongly-altered dike, an important geologic control which will assist in on-going exploration. Hole NB0703 attempted to cross the west-dipping mineralized zone about 120m (400 feet) down dip and encountered anomalous gold values. It is apparent that the geological interpretation of this zone is incomplete and requires further work. In addition, untested mineralization in historic workings on the south side of the Pioneer mine remains a high priority target for drilling in Phase II. The Pioneer mine area has all of the earmarks of a large gold mineralizing system with the potential for more high grade vein zones such as those intersected in NB0704.

At Sierra Blanca, holes NB0701 and NB0702 confirmed the presence of widespread low-grade mineralization encountered in historic drilling. NB0701 intersected numerous low-grade intervals, with 28% of the 247m hole mineralized at greater than 250 ppb Au. NB0702 also intersected low-grade mineralization, with a high of 2.060 g/t over 3m (0.060 opt over 9.8ft). Previous drilling in the area of the two holes intersected thick low-grade intervals, including 0.343 g/t over a combined 40m (0.010 opt over 130ft), 0.480 g/t over 35m (0.014 opt over 115ft) and 0.425 g/t over a combined 26m (0.012 opt over 85ft). The drilling tested only a small portion of the extensive low-grade mineralization at Sierra Blanca and did not evaluate areas with relatively higher-grade gold mineralization (greater than 1 g/t) encountered at surface and in previous shallow drilling. The potential for higher-grade structurally-focused mineralization also remains poorly tested at this stage, and the nearby Yellowjacket vein system target was not tested by the phase I program.

At the Savage target, hole NB0705 tested an area where scattered outcrops of Paleozoic quartzite contain consistent low-grade gold reaching 1.1 g/t (0.032 opt). The hole contained only anomalous gold, and the nature of the low-grade mineralization remains under evaluation. Hole NB0706 was a short hole (33m) in the same area as NB0705 and was terminated before reaching target depth.

Redstar and Talon Gold are continuing with evaluation of the drill results and plan to commence Phase II drilling in early 2008.

The work program at North Bullfrog is designed and supervised by Dr. Jacob Margolis, Exploration Manager for Redstar, and Dr. Russell Myers, Vice President of Exploration for Talon Gold.
