Reko Announces Supplier Diversity Certification

WINDSOR, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Nov. 24, 2010) - Reko International Group Inc. (TSX:REK), a designer and manufacturer of engineered products and services for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and their first tier suppliers, is getting a boost thanks to WEConnect Canada, a new corporate–led organization that provides Canada's premier certification program for women business owners. Diane St. John, Chief Executive Officer of Reko International Group is among a growing group of women business owners across the country whose companies have been certified by WEConnect Canada.

Through internationally recognized standards, WEConnect Canada certifies businesses that are at least 51% owned, managed and controlled by women and connects them with the growing corporate and public sector demand for diverse suppliers. "That's good not only for women but for corporations and governments that can now easily source untapped and innovative new vendors," says Betty Wood, WEConnect Canada's Lead Strategist, Women Business Enterprises. Women business owners in the U.S.A, the U.K. and recently India have similar certification programs. It's also being introduced across Europe and in China.

"Reko International Group has had a long history of providing high quality tooling, automation and machining services at competitive prices. We are now pleased to be able to offer our existing and future customers the ability to include their Reko purchases in their supplier diversity spending totals," says Mrs. St. John. "Certification with WEConnect Canada will present Reko with even more opportunities by increasing its exposure to potential customers. I am excited by the new opportunities that I know will be presented to Reko through our certification with WEConnect Canada since one of our customers has already acknowledged our minority content status."
