Relational Technology Solutions (RTS) announced today that its two businesses have been formally integrated and it will now do business under the "RTS" name. The company is also announcing a new focus on "Converged" technologies with the introduction of a new Converged Technologies Division. "With the establishment of this new focus on Convergence, we are responding to our clients' collective needs for solutions that combine voice, video and data -- all on one network, connected by wired and wireless access. This year, RTS will expand our highly regarded array of telephony offerings to further accommodate end-to-end convergence," Ehlers added.

More than 70 percent of enterprise customers in the market will make an IP Telephony decision over the next 12-18 months, with another 60 percent planning to deploy some level of IP Telephony by mid-2006, according to current market research from Frost & Sullivan and Gartner Group. "In addition to helping customers deploy solutions that use IP to control costs, the convergence solutions offered by RTS include some extremely innovative new applications such as the extension of traditional phone systems to cellular, speech access that allows users to use the Internet to make phone calls and send emails, and IP-based collaboration which uses the Internet for meetings and conferences," added Archer.
