Remco Maintenance Receives Historic Preservation Award

NEW YORK, NY -- (MARKET WIRE) -- April 19, 2007 -- Remco Maintenance has been selected to receive the prestigious 2006 Historic Preservation Award for its exterior restoration work on New Jersey's Newark City Hall. The award was announced by the NJ Historic Sites Council and the Department of Environmental Protection, Historic Preservation Office. Remco Maintenance will receive the award at a ceremony on April 28th at the New Jersey State House in Trenton.

"We have been in this business successfully for 75 years and it is certainly a wonderful feeling to be recognized in this way. Our strategy of ultimate customer service, workmanship pride and business integrity has been paying off handsomely," said Raymond Saleeby, Remco's President and CEO. He went on to say, "We were fortunate to have been selected to provide our services on the project by Austin Helle Company of Cedar Grove, NJ, the General Contractor. We all knew the significance of the project and the importance of delivering on our promises. Our project teams had experience, dedication and a high level of collaboration." One thing for certain, the building looks magnificent and everyone involved, including Newark's Mayor Cory A. Booker, has been very pleased with Remco's efforts. A rededication ceremony was held after the $18 million year-long project. "We are proclaiming a new era that has come to Newark again," said Mayor Booker. "We are reclaiming our past glory, honoring the sanctity of our history, but also showing that the best is yet to come."

"We salute the Remco Maintenance senior project management team who worked diligently and smart from inception through final delivery," said Saleeby, "Mike Bradley, Jim Clifford, Ed Farnsworth, and Octavio Diaz should be congratulated along with the significant number of Remco craftspeople that were applying their time-honored skills each and every day." In addition to a job that was well done, the Remco effort was done on-time and on-budget.
