Remedy Interactive Announces New Version of On-Demand Injury Prevention Solution for Global 1000 Companies

Customer Study Proves Real-World Success -- Customers Achieve 40% Decrease in Workers' Compensation Claims Costs

SAUSALITO, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- May 23, 2006 -- Remedy Interactive, Inc., a leading provider of enterprise solutions that help Global 1000 companies reduce their workers' compensation costs, today announced version 3.0 of their OES software. Remedy Interactive's OES, used by large corporations worldwide since 2001, is a flexible web-based solution that helps companies proactively identify risks of workplace injury, automate injury prevention activities, track results, and improve operational efficiencies. Remedy Interactive prioritized enhancements to the OES based on the needs of large enterprises. These enhancements include improved capabilities for integration with the evolving enterprise software landscape, as well as more flexible methods for calculating relative risk scores and responding to findings.

Study Shows Workers' Compensation Costs Decrease -- Not Just Theory, But Reality

In 2004 and 2005, Remedy Interactive analyzed a number of its customers' workers' compensation loss runs. The results confirmed a number of key facts. First, Remedy Interactive's system correctly identifies those who are at highest risk of injury. More than eighty percent of OES participants who became claimants were identified as high risk in the OES. The second important confirmation was that the use of Remedy Interactive's solution leads to a significant reduction in costs of workplace injuries. Workers' compensation claims costs for employees who used the OES and who claimed workers' compensation were 40-60% less than claimants who did not use the OES.

These findings have confirmed that enterprise-wide use of the OES can have a direct impact on costs associated with workplace injury. With the enterprise in mind, Remedy Interactive's OES 3.0 includes the following new capabilities and enhanced features, all of which seamlessly integrate into the OES platform:

-- More efficient HR data integration -- more effectively maps HR data to
the way in which injury prevention stakeholders in the organization think
    about the organization's structure

-- Extended single-sign capabilities -- now integrates with the newest
generation of enterprise identity management systems allowing for seamless
    user access to the OES

-- More strategic use of roles/responsibilities -- allows companies to
define access to certain information and functions by individuals' roles in
the organization. This capability helps to ensure compliance with data
privacy regulations, internal business rules and with European Union data
    privacy mandates

-- Risk calculation extensibility -- provides customers with more options
for calculating relative risk and responding to that risk. Beyond Remedy
Interactive's proven core assessment capabilities, OES 3.0 can accommodate
discomfort survey information, findings of desktop-based monitoring tools
    and psycho-social assessment findings

"Remedy Interactive has achieved two goals with the release of version 3.0 -- enhancing the interoperability of the OES with the corporate enterprise; and establishing a methodology for including a variety of risk factors such as psycho-social, direct observed, and others into the proven OES risk algorithm," said Kim Lopez, CEO of Remedy Interactive.

"We believe our approach is flexible enough to accommodate customers who want to leverage newer and emerging injury prevention sciences, as well as satisfy customers who are interested in more traditional methodologies, and is still scalable enough to implement each tailored solution worldwide," added Lopez.
