REMINDER: 2011 MS Kilimanjaro Challenge: Come and Say Goodbye to the Participants as They Leave for Africa!

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Jan. 2, 2011) - The 44 participants in the 2011 MS Kilimanjaro Challenge will fly out to Tanzania on January 3 and 6, 2011, from Pierre-Elliott-Trudeau Airport. The trip, organized by Karavaniers, will scale the 5,895-metre heights of one of the largest volcanoes in the world to support the cause of multiple sclerosis.

A double challenge

For more than a year, the participants have been working hard to raise a total of $600,000; as well, they have been training ceaselessly so they will be able to aim for the summit of Kilimanjaro. In other words, this challenge is both physical and philanthropic. The team's efforts will benefit research and the maintenance of services for people with multiple sclerosis.

Recall that multiple sclerosis is the most widespread neurological disease among young adults in Canada, and that some 13,000 to 18,000 Quebecers have MS.
