REMINDER: Candidate Experience Awards Countdown: Employers Must Apply by 7 September

CandEs to Honour Employers With Exceptional Candidate Experiences and Help Companies Strengthen Employment Brand

LONDON--(Marketwire - Sep 4, 2012) - The Candidate Experience Awards, a non-profit organisation focused on facilitating the evolution of the employment candidate experience, today announced that employers can still nominate their companies for the first-ever U.K. Candidate Experience Awards. But time is running out; companies must submit their first round surveys by Friday, 7 September for an opportunity to be highlighted as a Candidate Experience Award winner and to receive a complimentary benchmarking report that can help strengthen employment brand and attract top talent. U.K.-based employers of all sizes and industries are encouraged to apply at www.thecandes.org/how-to-apply.

Every year, employers spend millions of pounds to attract candidates to their career sites, only to find that they've abandoned their applications during a cumbersome completion process, or leave frustrated that they don't receive updates regarding their status. The Candidate Experience Awards (known as "The CandEs"):

  • Evaluate and recognise organizations that are working to eliminate those challenges by producing outstanding candidate experiences in the U.K.
  • Are organised by a non-profit entity.
  • Provide all companies that complete the first round employer survey with a benchmarking report -- comparing their company's candidate experience to other U.K. employers' -- to help them better understand expectations and impacts and improve their talent acquisition processes.
  • Are confidential and complimentary. Registration is quick and easy, and companies that wish to remain anonymous can participate in the benchmarking program and opt out of the award process.

"The results of the 2011 North American CandEs confirm that organisations are risking much when they don't communicate effectively with jobseekers and allow them to fall victim of the infamous 'black hole.' But many companies have adopted advanced recruiting, screening and onboarding practises and are pioneering a new standard for candidate experience, and we're eager to recognise those organisations for their innovation," commented Talent Board member and partner at Talent Collective, Jeremy Tipper. "This is an exciting time for the Candidate Experience Awards and a unique opportunity for employers in the U.K. who wish to better understand how their candidate experiences -- both positive and negative -- affect their companies' success."

Following the remarkable success of the Talent Board's North American 2011 CandEs, the organisation began global expansion of the programme, strategically developing a corresponding CandEs that addresses cultural nuances of the U.K.

Round one of the CandEs is comprised of a multi-dimensional survey designed to capture and evaluate the nominated company's recruitment processes and practices impacting the candidate experiences. Those that meet the standard for candidate experience will be invited to participate in round two of the competition, which involves surveying a random sampling of the company's 2012 candidates. Companies that meet criteria for both rounds one and two will be awarded a "CandE Award Winner" designation stamp. High scoring companies will be advanced to the final round, where they will be interviewed by the CandE judging panel to determine areas of distinction. U.K.-based companies that advance in the competition and are recognised as CandE winners will be celebrated at a special U.K. Candidate Experience event later this year.

As the awards programme continues its inaugural journey, it has welcomed some of the industry's leading recruiting technology innovators as sponsors, including Monster.com, Kelly OCG, Peer Group Communications, Candex and HireRight. A limited number of sponsorships are still available for the 2012 CandEs. For more information, please visit http://www.thecandidateexperienceawards.org/become-a-sponsor/.
