At the ARM Technical Symposium, Carbon Design Systems is demonstrating hardware and software validation with its virtual system prototyping software, VSP, working with ARM's RealView SOC Designer. Designs representations can include 'C' models, SystemC, RTL Verilog and/or VHDL code, Instruction Set Simulator (ISS) models, and transaction-level models. Carbon's new software approach allows these multiple levels of abstraction to be validated together with silicon accuracy and performance all on the engineer's desktop.
