The IEEE Wireless Test Workshop (WTW2006) is an IEEE-sponsored workshop devoted to exploring all issues relating to the design and especially test of wireless circuits and systems. The workshop will be held the day before the VLSI Test Symposium (VTS) 2006.

First silicon yields have notoriously been too low and re-spins are too frequent. Optimizing for yield early in the design flow is now a must to survive and cut costs whether designing digital libraries, memories, A/MS or RF circuits, especially for nanometer processes. Circuit performances critically depend on local/global process variations and operating conditions. Designers need better first silicon yields while meeting tape-out deadlines, not troubleshoot using silicon. This requires tools that analyze, diagnose and visualize where the root causes of performance and yield reductions are occurring with quantified simulation accurate data. Various methodologies will be compared with respect to designer effort, resources required, efficiency, accuracy, and applicability early in the design flow.
