Attention: Arts/Entertainment Editor, Assignment Editor, Media Editor, News Editor, Photo Editor TORONTO, ONTARIO, PRESS RELEASE--(Marketwire - May 1, 2009) - ONESTOP Media Group and its community art-programming partner Art for Commuters are launching their 3rd annual photography exhibition, "Contacting Toronto: What's Your Revolution?", on ONESTOP's Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) Network, as a featured public installation of CONTACT, Toronto's premier annual photography festival beginning May 1st.

"Contacting Toronto: What's Your Revolution?" artists provoke, stimulate and motivate Toronto commuters with enlightened calls to action, and artistic responses to the idea of inciting revolt. The exhibition will have an audience of over 1 million daily on 270 subway platform digital screens in over 40 stations throughout the TTC. The exhibit will air once every ten minutes and features a different 30-second project each day.

"CONTACT is very pleased to once again partner with Onestop Media Group and Art for Commuters. The festival's public installation program creates unexpected and memorable encounters with photography throughout the city. What's Your Revolution, curated by Sharon Switzer, will reach millions of daily commuters and hopefully leave them with a powerful image for their day." Stated CONTACT organizers.

One of the 15 featured artists, FASTWÜRMS ruminates on the equality and nobility of animals in their four-part project. "FASTWURMS is very pleased to share our Rainbow Nation of barn cats and rescued donkeys with Art for Commuters. Quoting Margaret Mead, they add "Never doubt that a small group of concerned citizens can change the world. Indeed, it's the only thing that ever has."

Michael Girgis, President of ONESTOP Media Group says, "We are proud to be one of CONTACT's featured exhibitions this year. We are also very excited to enrich the TTC commuter experience with more thought provoking arts and cultural programming." Sharon Switzer, exhibition curator and Director of Art for Commuters adds, "This powerful site specific exhibition has been both a pleasure to curate, and an inspiration. I am looking forward to sharing this work with our commuters, and hopefully inciting some small change."

"Contacting Toronto: What's Your Revolution?" is supported by Toronto Image Works, blogTO and funded by the Ontario Arts Council. An exhibition schedule of all selections, will be posted on the website shortly. The site will also feature the photographs after they debut on the TTC.
