REMINDER: FAA, Los Angeles Mayor Villaraigosa Unveil New LAX Safety System

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - June 11, 2009) -


WHAT:     FAA Runway Safety Director Wes Timmons and Los Angeles Mayor
          Antonio Villaraigosa will unveil an important new airfield
          safety system at LAX during a news conference at Los Angeles
          International Airport (LAX). Following the news conference,
          media may board a bus for a short tour to see the system in
          operation.

           Administration
          The Honorable Antonio Villaraigosa, Mayor of the City of
           Los Angeles

WHEN:     10 a.m., Thursday, June 11, 2009
          Media should arrive no later than 9:30 a.m. to watch a
           pre-briefing video.

WHERE:    LAX Flight Path Learning Center
          6661 W. Imperial Highway
          Los Angeles, CA 90009

VISUALS:  FAA air traffic control tower and south LAX airfield will be in
           the backdrop as speakers deliver their remarks.
          Media will be able to get off the bus to film/photograph the
           safety system as well as aircraft as they land and take off on
           the south LAX airfield.
