REMINDER/LABoratoire Creatif: 21 Designers and 21 Celebrities Get Together in an Exceptional Event to Raise Money for the Look Good Feel Better Program!

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Oct. 13, 2008) - During Montreal Fashion Week, 21 LABoratoire Creatif designers and 21 Quebec artists will come together for an exceptional event in aid of the Look Good Feel Better program. On Thursday, October 16, 7p.m. at the Bonsecours Market, artists will show off the designers' creations during a fashion show inspired by diva and fashion icon, Maria Callas. Hosted by Mitsou, this unique event will be open to the public.

LABoratoire Creatif has decided to put the talents of Quebec designers to good use: a fundraiser to support a noble cause - helping women with cancer to manage the appearance-related side effects of the disease and its treatment.

As part of Montreal Fashion Week, LABoratoire Creatif designers have drawn inspiration from the great Maria Callas to tailor-make gowns for 21 Quebec artists who will present these creations on the catwalk with all the timeless elegance, grace and theatricality of the diva herself. Set against a musical backdrop of remixed versions of Callas' greatest interpretations and a performance of Caroline Bleau, singer of the Opera de Montreal, this majestic event will enrapture its audience as a hymn to beauty, an ode to life and a celebration of womanhood.

The 21 Quebec artists that have chosen to support this cause are: Amelie B.Simard, Emilie Begin, Genevieve Borne, Anne-Marie Cadieux, Virginie Coossa, Stephanie Crete-Blais, Gabrielle Destroismaisons, Annie Dufresne, Catherine Florent, Chantal Fontaine, Lulu Hughes, Marie-Eve Janvier, Karyne Lemieux, Penelope McQuade, Caroline Neron, Mahee Paiement, Mylene Pelletier, Claudine Prevost, Jacynthe Rene, Marie-Chantal Toupin, and Salome Corbo.

The 22 designers from LABoratoire Creatif that will clothe these celebrities are: Alena Parfenovich, Bleu monde by Marie-Claudine Zamor, Beca by Caroline Becotte, Cluc Couture, Dinh Ba Design, Ecole des metiers des Faubourgs de Montreal (Cassandra Lebeau & Stephanie Lachance-Trudeau, Marie-Julie Prevost), Eliane, Eugenia Design by Eugenia Leavitt, Guylaine Roberge for Grob, Jeka Modes, M_phildor by Mirmonde Phildor, Martha Ordonez, Maillagogo by Carine Chatelais, Rim-A by Marie-Pierre Bertrand, Enkor by Marie-Pierre Octeau, Marlene Lemay, Melow Design by Melissa Bolduc, Mir Handbags by Miriam Fortier, Raina Clair-Gillis, and Will Be Design by Guillaume Laplante and Judy Design for Caroline Bleau.
