REMINDER/Media Advisory: CLC President Launching New Campaign on Labour Day in Toronto

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Sept. 5, 2016) - CLC President, Hassan Yussuff, will be showcasing the ways unions are improving the day-to-day lives of all Canadians by launching a new campaign at the Toronto and York Region Labour Council's annual Labour Day parade and celebration.

Yussuff will speak to how Canadian unions won an expanded Canada Pension Plan and how they are working to win a ban on asbestos. He will also highlight the need for more good jobs and an end to precarious work.

The campaign website, www.fairnessworks.ca, launches on Labour Day and will feature three compelling new videos.

The parade route will begin at Nathan Phillips Square at 9:30 am and will end at Exhibition Place.
