LONGUEUIL, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - April 16, 2013) - Winning students of the Canadian Space Agency (CSA) Canadian Science Challenge will soon know if their science experiment hypothesis holds up in weightlessness. On Tuesday April 16, during an exclusive Earth-to-space connection, Chris Hadfield will perform, under the young scientists' guidance, the winning experiment in space.
On this occasion, CSA Astronaut David Saint-Jacques will be at the Lockview High School in Fall River, Nova Scotia, as will other distinguished guests.
Last September, CSA launched the Canadian Science Challenge and invited students to submit a unique science experiment using only items already available aboard the International Space Station. The prize consisted for Commander Chris Hadfield to conduct the winning experiment during a live connection at the winners' school.
The event will also be broadcast live on the CSA Website.
Media are invited to attend the event.
