Reminder - MEDIA ADVISORY: Mayor Villaraigosa to Inaugurate Non-Stop LAX FlyAway Bus Service From Westwood to Los Angeles International Airport

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - June 14, 2007) -

WHAT: Los Angeles Mayor Antonio R. Villaraigosa, other elected
officials and executives from Los Angeles World Airports
(LAWA) and University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA)
will conduct a news conference to launch non-stop FlyAway
bus service between Westwood and airline terminals at Los
Angeles International Airport (LAX). The officials also
will greet passengers boarding the first FlyAway bus
          departing Westwood.

The new service will depart from both LAX and Westwood
simultaneously every 30 minutes on the hour and half-hour
from 5 a.m. to 1 a.m. daily, including weekends and holidays.
From June 14 to 30, 2007, passengers can ride the bus for
free. Beginning July 1, the cost will be $4 one-way for
adults. The service, provided through a partnership between
LAWA and UCLA, will connect the world’s fifth busiest airport
to the West Los Angeles campus and area residences and
businesses. Airport officials forecast that more than 167,000
passengers will use the LAX FlyAway in Westwood during the
          first year of service.

The LAX FlyAway in Westwood is the third bus route on a network
that is expected to expand to a total of nine locations
          throughout Southern California by 2015.
