Reminder - MEDIA ADVISORY: Safely Ever After Selected to Present Child Predator Awareness Seminar in Honor of Megan's Law Anniversary

SANTA MONICA, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- May 21, 2007 -- Safely Ever After, Inc. was selected by the *MOM's Club of Santa Monica South to lead a child predator safety seminar in honor of the 11th anniversary of Megan's Law. The event is open to the community, and will be held at the Santa Monica Public Library on May 22, 2007 at 7:00 p.m.

Pattie Fitzgerald, founder of Safely Ever After, Inc. will present the seminar, entitled "An Ounce Of Prevention." The presentation provides parents with facts and tools to help prevent their children from becoming victims of sexual predators.

When asked why the MOM's Club chose Fitzgerald's seminar, vice-president Nina Furukawa replied, "What's different about Pattie is that she doesn't come from a place of fear. I have a 4-1/2-year-old and a baby. I want to go to the park with them and not feel afraid. Pattie tells us how we can do that."

Megan's Law became federal law on May 17, 1996. The law provides the public with information on the whereabouts of convicted sex offenders who have been released into the community. However, the law cannot protect the public against predators who haven't been caught.

"Megan's Law is a great awareness tool, but we should not let it lull us into a false sense of security. What we really need is prevention education to keep our kids safe from predators who fly under the radar," said Ms. Fitzgerald.
