REMINDER/Media Advisory: Solidarity with BC Teachers

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - June 2, 2014) - The newly-elected President of the Canadian Labour Congress, Hassan Yussuff, will be in Vancouver Monday, June 2 to support members of the BC Teachers Federation in their dispute with the provincial government.

Yussuff will let striking teachers know they have the support of Canada's labour movement and join them on the picket line.

Yussuff will be available for interviews throughout the day, from 7:30 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.

The Canadian Labour Congress represents 3.3 million Canadian workers. The CLC brings together Canada's national and international unions along with the provincial and territorial federations of labour and 111 district labour councils.
