Reminder: No Beer at Propeller Brewing Company 10th Anniversary Party

Attention: Assignment Editor, Business/Financial Editor, Food/Beverage Editor, Lifestyle Editor, News Editor HALIFAX, NOVA SCOTIA, NEWS RELEASE--(Marketwire - July 7, 2007) - Halifax- As strange as it sounds, Propeller Brewing in Halifax won't be tying one on to celebrate its 10th Anniversary on July 7th. Despite a very successful ten year run, countless awards, and the distinction of being Nova Scotia's original and largest micro-brewery, Propeller has hit the production wall.

The Gottingen Street brewery which is well known for it's British Ales, all natural sodas, and its ongoing community involvement is unable to produce a single drop more beer or soda. "This summer has been a unique yet very positive kind of a challenge", says Halifax native and company founder John Allen. "The tanks that we were counting on to double our capacity haven't arrived yet so we owe a lot to our customers for their patience. We've done everything legitimately possible to meet the increased demand. Cutting corners and rushing beer through is not an option. Our quality has always been consistent and is the key to our success".

Allen adds, "The public, the NSLC and our licensees have been incredibly understanding. They're happy to see a truly locally owned brewery succeed and many, if not most, of them have been with us from the beginning.

As for the party, "These production issues will be completely behind us in about three weeks time when the tanks arrive. We'll have a staff get-together when all of our accounts are fully stocked. We're not the kind of company that makes a lot of noise about itself anyway. We just make great beer".
