REMINDER/Public Notice/Alexandra Bridge Rehabilitation Public Consultation Meeting

GATINEAU, QUEBEC--(CCNMatthews - June 13, 2005) - On June 13, 2005, Public Works and Government Services Canada, in collaboration with McCormick Rankin Corporation, consultant engineers, will be hosting a public consultation meeting on the Alexandra Bridge Rehabilitation Project. The meeting will be held at the Canadian Museum of Civilization, 100 Laurier Street, Gatineau.

It is anticipated that the construction work will take place starting in the spring of 2006 with a fall 2007 completion date. Various vehicular, pedestrians and cyclist traffic management scenarios during the construction period are being considered and will be presented to the public at the meeting.

Those attending will have an opportunity to review and comment directly on the conceptual design plans and traffic management scenarios.
