OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - July 1, 2011) - The Quartier Vanier Outdoor Market starts this Saturday, July 2, open from 9 am till 1pm until October 8th. Featured are returning vendors, like Kiwan and Rock n' Root vegetable farmers, and also present will be new ones, such as Bearbrook and Alpenblick, selling exciting produce such as game meat, sausage, patés, cheeses, eggs, maple syrup, lamb and much more.

Free Parking

Customers can walk, bike, or drive to the Quartier Outdoor Market located at Hannah Street & Montréal Road, in the Scotiabank parking lot across from the Burger King. Free parking is available for next to the market.

Grand Opening Event: First Chef and Farmer Food Demonstrations

10AM: Grand opening ribbon-cutting ceremony with MP Mauril Bélanger, Councillor Mathieu Fleury and John Therien, Chair of the Quartier Vanier Merchants Association (BIA). First 10 customers will receive a free QV Gigantic Coffee Mug.

10:10AM: Chef Amos Mbenoun, from Maison Baguettes Etc., and Walter Henn of Bearbrook Farms, will take part in the first Chef/Farmer Food Demonstration to bring delicious and wholesome tastes of our local produce, right here to you!

The QV BIA market event is also a community social gathering, every Saturday throughout the summer and fall season with our host emcee extraordinaire Larry Rousseau, entertaining our customers with unstoppable energy and great tunes.
