RemoteMDx's Wholly Owned Subsidiary SecureAlert Announces Contract for Mexico

SANDY, UT -- (MARKET WIRE) -- February 5, 2007 -- SecureAlert, a subsidiary of RemoteMDx, Inc. (OTCBB: RMDX) and a leader in pioneering technologies and services to aid in monitoring offenders who are a risk to society, today announced a contract between Seguridad Satelital Vehicular for 10,000 TrackerPAL units to be deployed in Mexico.

Seguridad Satelital Vehicular (SSV) is a major supplier of tracking devices and services to the Mexican government and specializes in telematics. The contract between SecureAlert and SSV calls for SSV to purchase 10,000 TrackerPAL units for $6 million over a 16-month period of time. SecureAlert agrees to give SSV proprietary know how in modifying SSV's current monitoring center in order to track parolees in Mexico. In turn, SSV will pay SecureAlert $2 per day per parolee that SSV tracks using the TrackerPAL system.

Since its introduction in July of 2006, the demand for SecureAlert's single-unit tracking device and 24/7 monitoring services has exceeded the Company's expectations and forecasts. Currently, the Company has at various stages in the sales pipeline in excess of 40,000 TrackerPAL units. Of the 40,000 TrackerPAL units, in excess of 15,000 have been deployed to the Company's distributors. Of these, approximately 2,000 are on offenders and being monitored on a 24/7 basis by SecureAlert's state-of-the-art monitoring center. The Company is currently in the process of educating through its distributors over 350 agencies on how to use the TrackerPAL product and services thus increasing every day the number of offenders that are monitored by SecureAlert. To accelerate this pace, the Company is in the process of hiring 12 new people to work in the field with federal and state agencies.
