Removal of Second Person From the CBSA Wanted List

WINNIPEG, MANITOBA--(Marketwire - Aug. 2, 2011) - The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) today announced the removal from Canada of a second individual identified with the public's help. Cristobal Gonzalez-Ramirez, from Honduras, was apprehended on July 22, 2011, in Edmonton. Gonzalez-Ramirez had been in CBSA custody since his apprehension.

This update follows the announcement on July 21, 2011, by Ministers Toews and Kenney, urging Canadians to help identify 30 individuals listed on the CBSA Web site and suspected of being complicit in war crimes or crimes against humanity, and who are thought to be hiding in locations across Canada. It also follows the announcement Sunday of the successful removal of Manuel De La Torre Herrera, who was removed to Peru.

Members of the public are reminded that they should not take action to apprehend the individuals listed on the CBSA Web site. Any information on the whereabouts of these wanted individuals should be reported to the CBSA Border Watch Line at 1-888-502-9060.
