Renaissance Washington, DC Downtown Hotel Celebrates the Third Annual Global Day of Discovery

The Day of Discovery celebration officially kicks off Renaissance Hotels' Summer of Discovery calendar, a summer-long program of exclusive events more than 150 hotels around the world designed to help travelers experience the best discoveries of the season. 

This year, Renaissance Washington, DC Downtown Hotel is celebrating with an evening concert from the incredible Gideon Grove, a night of champagne tasting, giveaways, plus creative cocktails and delectable bites from the hotel's team of culinary experts. The festivities are all set to take place on June 26^th, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM in honor of the Renaissance Day of Discovery.

To start things off, this DC hotel invites guests for a special champagne tasting from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the hotel lobby, including complimentary culinary discoveries from the Executive Chefs. Guests will enjoy 1863 Angus Sirloin roasted, filled with bread and butter pickles, mushroom duxelle and enoki mushrooms from McDowell mushroom farm and Savory Tart shell filled with seafood paella and topped with smoked gouda.

The hotel will be serving a Nicholas Feuillate champagne cocktail at a special price of $8.00. The cocktail will be named after the Cherokee Stars track from his debut album. It has Champagne, Mango puree, cherry liquor, and fresh blueberries, gently stirred and served in a champagne flute. The hotel will continue its celebration of the World cup and also feature Brazilian Caipirinhas at a special price of $8.

Gideon Grove will perform from 7:15 PM to 8:00 PM, and the hotel will offer giveaways for attendees, including one bottle of Nicolas Feuillatte Champagne, valued at $50, a $75 gift certificate for lunch or dinner in President's Sports Bar, and one free night weekend stay at the hotel, including breakfast for two, valued at $199.
