Renewable Energy Projects Must Be Under Construction by December 2013 to Receive Production Tax Credit, an Industrial Info News Alert

SUGAR LAND, TX--(Marketwired - May 1, 2013) - Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas) -- The Internal Revenue Service has laid out guidelines as to what developers must do this year to be recognized as having started construction on new, renewable energy projects. Wind, geothermal, biomass, landfill gas, incremental hydroelectric and ocean energy projects that are under construction by December 2013 will qualify for 10 years of production tax credits on the electricity output, or an investment tax credit upon project completion for 30% of the project cost.
