Renu Kapoor Appointed to the Canadian Centre for Substance Abuse Board of Directors

Government of Canada working to address addiction and drug abuse in Canada

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Dec. 20, 2013) - Health Minister Rona Ambrose announced the appointment of Ms. Renu Kapoor to the Canadian Centre for Substance Abuse (CCSA) Board of Directors for a three-year term.

Ms. Kapoor is a long-standing and devoted community volunteer in Regina, Saskatchewan with expertise in mental health and addictions. She serves on local and national volunteer boards and is also the recipient of both the Queen's Golden Jubilee Medal and the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Medal for her outstanding contribution to public life.

The Government of Canada has made addressing substance abuse a priority and the contributions of the CCSA are an important part of that effort.
