Repairs to Elm Avenue and Beaurepaire Drive Overpasses

BEACONSFIELD, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - June 13, 2016) - The City of Beaconsfield will undertake major road improvements to the overpasses on Elm Avenue and Beaurepaire Drive which will take place from June 20 until the end of August.

The work will be carried out over a period of 10 weeks for $ 1.0 million and consists mainly of paving and repairs to sidewalks and guardrail.

Note that traffic will be limited to a single lane on the overpass for the duration of the work and will be controlled by temporary traffic signals. Pedestrians will continue to have access to the Beaconsfield train station at all times.

Traffic on Saint-Charles Boulevard will also be disrupted at times when the contractor needs to install scaffolding. At these times, traffic will be diverted to opposite lanes. Once the scaffolding is in place, normal traffic will be re-established. This exercise may be repeated when the contractor has to relocate the scaffolding.

Road users are asked to respect road signs for the safety of all.
