BMO Bank of Montreal and the Calgary Stampede are corralling the community to celebrate 100 years of history together with the annual BMO Kids' Day, happening Wednesday, July 11.

Kicking off BMO Kids' Day, Robert Hayes, Senior Vice-President, Prairies, BMO Bank of Montreal, will join over 175 BMO employees for a pancake breakfast - with more than 25,000 meals are expected to be served.

"We're very pleased to have more than 300 community volunteers here today," said Don Waldorf, BMO Kids' Day, Committee Chair. "BMO Kids' Day is a highly anticipated family-focused event and one of the reasons why people continue to enjoy the Calgary Stampede year after year."

BMO Kids' Day highlights include:

  • Free pancake breakfast
  • Two Freestyle Soccer performances
  • Performances from Splash 'N Boots, HOJA, and the Rodeo Riders
  • 6th annual Junior Reporters contest winners' prize presentation
  • Alyson Schafer, leading parenting expert and contributor of advice on BMO SmartSteps for Parents
  • PLUS BMO the Bear and Harry the Horse will be handing out prizes

The pancake breakfast and the show all happen at the Grandstand. Admission is free before 9 a.m. for kids under 12 and accompanying adults. The show kicks off with a Freestyle Soccer performance at 7:50 a.m. All other events take place at the BMO's Kid Zone, located next to the Agriculture Building. The popular life-sized board game, Loonies & Lassos, is once again featured in the BMO Kids' Zone - where every participant gets a prize!
