Ottawa Hosts the 11th Forum on Hydropower

Media are invited to attend the 11th Forum on Hydropower, October 26, 2010, at the Westin Ottawa, 11 Colonel By Drive (Room Confederation III). Organized by the Canadian Hydropower Association, the annual event focuses this year on Canadian hydropower in the North American context.

Speakers include well known journalists and political commentators Jane Taber and Craig Oliver; Québec's Delegate General to New York, John Parisella; Manitoba's Official representative to Washington, Marianne Rude; and the Carty Chair in Business and Financial Journalism, Christopher Waddell, among others. Hon. Christian Paradis, Minister of Natural Resources, will present keynote remarks at 4:45 pm.

In addition, the Forum features a panel of Voices from America moderated by National Hydropower Association's Linda Church Ciocci. This panel of experts on the U.S. government will provide an inside perspective on how our closest trading partner perceives Canadian hydropower.

The Forum begins on October 26 at 7:30 a.m. with breakfast, networking and discussions. The one-day Forum will be followed by an evening reception and dinner.
