Richmond, New Westminster and Langley Township Also Place High

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - June 9, 2015) - Surrey is the top destination in Metro Vancouver for starting a new small business, says a new report by Vancity credit union.

A high level of family support also contributes to the success of small businesses in Surrey. Other communities that rank well include Richmond, Langley Township and New Westminster.

The report analyzed seven factors that contribute to small business success, including a thriving market, reliable transportation, cost of doing business, supply chains, personal cost of living, personal support and a culture of entrepreneurialism.
