MERRIMACK, NH--(Marketwire - Jul 25, 2011) - Supporting local projects is a great way to give back to a community and in recognizing the value of the Kids' Kove revitalization program, the Residence Inn, one of the leading hotels in Nashua, NH, stepped up during the recent "Kids' Kove Build Week" in May with a donation that housed project personnel.
Friends of Kids' Kove organized this important revitalization, and the new construction took place May 18-22, 2011. Out-of-state engineers and architects were provided with six nights of complimentary guest accommodations at the Residence Inn, one of the premier extended-stay Nashua, NH hotels, located at 246 Daniel Webster Highway. Also stepping up with complimentary accommodations, the Fairfield Inn on Amherst Road contributed one night of lodging for an engineer from Leathers Associates during the group's Organization Day, held earlier on May 5. The Fairfield Inn is now temporarily closed for renovations, but will re-open once remodeling is completed.
"We are very committed to giving back to the community," said Mary Hendricks, Director of Sales at the Residence Inn Nashua hotel. "We felt that offering accommodations to the engineers during the rebuild was a great way to help with this project."
The Friends of Kids' Kove revitalized the 20-year-old, community built playground along with other volunteer organizations throughout Merrimack. Together, the project was supported by more than 500 volunteers from the community and several thousand dollars in donations. During the week-long "build", construction of the new playground was completed in four hour shifts from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., daily.
