Resonate Welcomes George Stewart as Chief Revenue Officer

Former Demand Media and Yahoo! Executive Joins Attitudinal Targeting™ Leader

RESTON, VA--(Marketwire - December 1, 2010) - Resonate, the Attitudinal Targeting™ company, announced today that George Stewart, a 20-year veteran in brand marketing and digital media, has joined Resonate as Chief Revenue Officer. Stewart has extensive experience building and leading highly successful marketing and sales teams for start-ups and Fortune 500 organizations. In his new role Stewart will work directly with brands and their agencies to effectively build brands online by leveraging Resonate's ability to connect brand values with consumer values. This position will be located in New York City.

"I am excited by the opportunity to help marketers truly build their brands online," said Stewart. "As a former brand marketer I saw great potential in using online to build brands which was my intent when I moved into digital media in 1999, but until now online advertising has remained largely transactional and direct response focused. Resonate offers brands a new and invaluable opportunity to engage consumers based on their values, beliefs and attitudes -- what truly connects consumers with the brands they love and trust."

Prior to Resonate, Stewart served as Executive Vice President of Media Sales at Demand Media. There, Stewart built the brand advertising sales team and grew the business with Fortune 500 advertisers across multiple industries and verticals, including P&G, Verizon Wireless, Sears and GM. Prior to Demand Media, Stewart served as Senior Vice President of Advertising Sales at Next New Networks, where he developed and sold video advertising, brand integration and online TV series across numerous social media and video sites.

"George brings two decades of incredibly valuable experience to Resonate, including his extensive knowledge of both the brand advertising and media industries," said Resonate CEO Bryan Gernert. "George's extensive understanding of the industry and personal desire to disrupt the status quo will further advance Resonate's promise to deliver more effective brand advertising online."

Stewart began his digital media career in 1999 at the online music start-up, where he was VP of Advertising Sales and an integral part of the executive team's efforts to build LAUNCH into a leading music property. LAUNCH was acquired by Yahoo! in 2001. While at Yahoo! Stewart served as National Director of Sales and Category Development Officer where he led his team in developing and selling high profile interactive marketing solutions integrated into the entire network of Yahoo! Services.
