Responsys Appoints Ed Henrich Vice President of Strategic Services

Former Yesmail President Brings Deep Analytics and Multichannel Marketing Experience to On-Demand Marketing Leader

REDWOOD CITY, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- April 30, 2007 -- Responsys, a global provider of on-demand email and marketing automation solutions, today announced the appointment of Ed Henrich as vice president of strategic services. Henrich, the former president of Yesmail, brings extensive experience in email and analytics to guide Responsys' clients in achieving maximum success with integrated multichannel marketing programs. He will immediately assume leadership for Responsys strategic services organization, including the integration of the recently acquired Loyalty Matrix technology and team to optimize email, print and mobile marketing programs.

Henrich, a pioneer in the email marketing industry, joined Post Communications (now Yesmail) in 1997 when it was a five-person startup and became president in 2003. Under his leadership, revenue tripled and the company achieved profitability. Henrich also designed the analytics reporting system that was one of the major competitive advantages of the Yesmail technology platform. He also personally worked to create leading email marketing programs at Hewlett-Packard, Macy's, Avon, Nine West, E*TRADE, Countrywide Financial, and Hotwire.

Before joining Yesmail, Ed was a venture capitalist at Internet Capital Group, and a senior consultant with McKinsey & Company. Immediately prior to joining Responsys, Ed served as founder and president of Henrich Enterprises, an Internet marketing company he founded in 2005 to focus on providing products and services to extend the usability of current web analytic tools.

Henrich is a recognized authority in the Internet marketing industry and a frequent guest speaker at JupiterResearch, ClickZ and DMA conferences. He has also been a guest lecturer on email marketing at New York University. Henrich, a former Fulbright Scholar to Australia, holds a Ph.D. and M.S. from UCLA, and a B.S. from Drexel University.
