Responsys took home Gold and Silver W3 Awards for a Harley-Davidson email marketing campaign designed to target female motorcycle enthusiasts. The goal of the campaign was to educate women to confidently transition from motorcycle fan to motorcycle owner/rider. The eight-part triggered email program was based on Harley-Davidson's targeted, strategic business objectives and focused on integrating seamlessly with the campaign's direct mail, online and in-dealer experience. From the initial "welcome" to the last "confirmation" email, the potential rider was taken through key milestones on the journey to motorcycle ownership with access to Harley-Davidson testimonials, social networks and a customized website. The campaign, which is ongoing, has significantly higher response rates than industry benchmarks and it continues to perform very well.
