Ressources Appalaches Acquires Copper-Nickel-Cobalt Property

RIMOUSKI, QUEBEC--(CCNMatthews - Dec. 18, 2006) - Ressources Appalaches (TSX VENTURE:APP) has acquired from Quinto Technology Inc. (QU-TSXV) a copper-nickel-cobalt property located north of Forestville, Quebec.

The property covers a new discovery in an exploration area recently made accessible by forestry roads. Stripping and blasting work to date has uncovered a disseminated to massive sulphide zone over 100 metres long. Selected surface grab samples contain up to 1.0% copper, 1.1% nickel and 0.1% cobalt with anomalous levels of platimum group metals (PGM).

The mineralization generally occurs in the more mafic layers of pyroxenite within an anorthosite or leucogabbronorite. The geologic context is favourable for more discoveries of this type since similar lithologies have been observed to occur throughout the property.

Ressources Appalaches has an option to acquire 50% of the B100 property by spending one million dollars in exploration work over a period of five years. Ressources Appalaches is the operator of the project.
