Ressources Appalaches Inc.: Better Than 98.6% Gold Recovery at the Dufferin Mine

RIMOUSKI, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - April 8, 2009) - Ressources Appalaches (TSX VENTURE:APP) commissioned Laboratoire LTM Inc. of Val D'Or to conduct metallurgical tests on the recovery of gold from a composite sample from the Dufferin Mine, Nova Scotia, using cyanidation. The test showed recovery rates of 98.6 to 99.6%.

The composite sample had a total weight of 7 kg and was made up of 19 samples of core from the previous drill campaign, carried out in 2008. Analyses (AD-1 to -7) performed on the composite sample give gold values of 5.6 to 18.74 g/t, corresponding to recoveries of 98.6 to 99.6%. The conclusion of Engineer Edmond St-Jean of Laboratoire LTM is that: "the gold is easy to liberate and responds well to cyanidation".

Corporate Goal

The Company's exploration target is to define 1,250,000 to 1,750,000 tonne at 7 to 10 g/t Au. This objective is based on an extrapolation of the historical resources in the first two veins to all 13 veins, over the length of 900 metres indicated by the earlier work, which includes about fifty holes. Even if the Company's objective is based on 58 holes, the potential quantity and grade is conceptual in nature. There has been insufficient exploration to define a mineral resource and it is uncertain if further exploration will result in discovery of a mineral resource to be mined.
