Restoration Hardware Selects GT Nexus

Leading Retailer Deploys On-Demand Transportation Management Platform, Completes 2007 Bid in Six Weeks

ALAMEDA, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- May 15, 2007 -- GT Nexus announced today that Restoration Hardware, Inc. (NASDAQ: RSTO) selected its Trade and Logistics Portal to serve as the retailer's global transportation management platform. The platform was successfully used for the 2007 ocean transportation bid, including optimization of the transportation spend and carrier allocations. Finalized agreements have been converted into digitized service contracts, which will be managed by Restoration Hardware and its ocean carriers.

Restoration Hardware, Inc. is a specialty retailer of hardware, bathware, furniture, lighting, textiles, accessories and related merchandise and reported 2006 sales over $581 million. The company operates 103 retail stores and eight outlet stores in 30 states, the District of Columbia and Canada.

"We have a vast, complex transportation network that will be managed through the GT Nexus portal," said Glenn Berger, Vice President of Global Transportation at Restoration Hardware. "Transportation is a strategic spend for us and GT Nexus gives us an integrated set of capabilities that will help us optimize the way we move containerized freight around the world."

GT Nexus is providing the entire platform on-demand, over the Web. Internal users at Restoration Hardware, carriers and other logistics partners work together through a common set of Web applications. All of the data including rates and service terms are captured online in standardized formats, which allows for better, faster comparison of proposals.

As part of the transportation bid, GT Nexus' strategic allocation optimization engine was used to compare thousands of different service and price scenarios. The options were then evaluated to determine an allocation plan that optimizes transportation spend while preserving key business rules.

Now that contracts have been awarded, the system becomes a transportation contract management system that supports ongoing amendments and updates as services are delivered. The ocean contract information also becomes a logistics data hub that can support future procurement cycles and other add on capabilities like freight audit and document exchange.

"GT Nexus was an attractive option for us," said Kim Kuesel, Senior Manager of International Logistics at Restoration Hardware. "Since the solution is delivered on-demand, we didn't need to buy traditional software and take on all of the up front risk. GT Nexus is also a mature, proven system that is in use today at many of the world's biggest shippers and carriers. We completed the entire bid in less than six weeks and we have a plan that gives us the ideal price/service mix."

"Restoration Hardware understood the power of an industry platform," noted Greg Johnsen, EVP and Founder at GT Nexus. "The fact that they were able to roll out the technology, execute a major transportation bid and end up with a fully optimized allocation plan in just six weeks speaks volumes. Restoration Hardware is a terrific new customer and we look forward to a long and productive relationship with them."
