Results of Wireless Matrix 2008 Annual and Special Shareholders' Meeting

RESTON, VIRGINIA--(Marketwire - Sept. 15, 2008) - Wireless Matrix Corporation (TSX:WRX) ("Company"), the leading provider of wireless data solutions targeting field service organizations announced today the results of its 2008 Annual and Special Meeting of Shareholders (the "Meeting") held in Reston, Virginia, on September 11, 2008.

Board Members Election Results

At the Meeting, the shareholders of the Company re-elected as members of the board of directors, Messieurs David Magus, Ian Bonner, Per Olav Fosse, Neil MacKenzie, Jeff Lawson and Arve Johansen, who will serve the Company until its next annual meeting of shareholders.

Approval of Unallocated Options

The shareholders approved, ratified and confirmed the unallocated entitlements permitted under the Company's "rolling" stock option plan as are required to be approved every three years pursuant to the policies of the Toronto Stock Exchange (the "TSX"). As a result, the Company shall have the ability to continue to granting options under the stock option plan until September 11, 2011.

Shareholder Rights Plan

The Company did not receive the requisite support of the majority of disinterested shareholders in favor of the shareholder rights plan which was previously adopted and announced by the board of directors on July 30, 2008. As a result, the shareholder rights plan shall be of no further force or effect and all rights issued there under shall be void.

Other matters
