Retail Industry Veteran Sahir Anand Joins EKN as VP Research and Principal Analyst

RANDOLPH, NJ--(Marketwired - Jan 9, 2014) - EKN Research today announced that Sahir Anand, former retail practice leader at Aberdeen Research, has joined the research firm as VP of research and principal analyst. Sahir brings more than 14 years of experience in retail sales, service and marketing operations, as well as market research and consulting in retail, consumer goods, hospitality and banking/financial services.

Prior to joining the EKN team, Sahir served as VP of global corporate marketing and strategy at Trace One. In that role, he was responsible for the company's global strategy, messaging, and market readiness delivery in the retail and consumer packaged goods industry, working with retailers including Walgreen's, Wal-Mart and Safeway. Sahir has also served as VP/principal analyst and retail group director for Aberdeen Research. During his six-year tenure at Aberdeen, Sahir was responsible for expanding the firm's retail and consumer goods practice with a focus on disruptive consumer-centricity strategies and technologies, and provided insights and consulting to Fortune 1000 retailers, brands and solutions vendors.
