RETRANSMISSION - 30DC Announces Shareholder Update

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - March 29, 2016) - 30DC, Inc. (OTC PINK: TDCH) ("30DC"), a provider of mobile software tools for the monetization of digital content, announced an update for existing and prospective shareholders on the progress of its digital publishing technology. The company is finalizing the beta phase of its newest digital publishing product, ScrivCast, which will be priced lower than the company's MagCast product and is targeted at a broader audience.

ScrivCast is a tool that lets users quickly and easily build native apps without the need for knowing code. ScrivCast keeps the native app synchronized with updated WordPress blog content as it is published. Its SaaS backend infrastructure is built on MagCast, a mobile digital App magazine creation platform available since early 2012. Since the introduction of MagCast, 30DC has been completely self-financed and has reinvested the proceeds of its business activities into eight platform upgrades. Approximately 3,000 magazine apps have published using MagCast technology since its creation.

30DC intends to offer ScrivCast at a lower price than MagCast. Publishing with MagCast requires users to produce content and often needs multiple people to be involved in the creation of new design elements. ScrivCast was designed to enable app creation using a more streamlined process than MagCast while incorporating many of MagCast's advance features. It is intended as a plug-n-play product that does not require labor-intensive design elements. The product comes with MagCast's eCommerce and marketing functionality built in and enables integration with Apple Search.

With iOS 9, Apple enhanced "Spotlight," it's on device search engine, by allowing access to data within apps. This deep linking lets app developers expose information in their app directly to Siri and Spotlight. Users are then led right to the appropriate section of the app. A recipe app, for instance, might make data available to searches for "apple pie." A single tap inside Spotlight would take the searcher directly to the recipe in the app. Inside the app, ScrivCast marketing features are available for engagement with the user.

ScrivCast is currently available on Apple iOS 9. An Android version is planned for later this year. The company is planning an introduction and commercial launch late in its fiscal 4th Quarter (quarter ending June 30, 2016). While pricing for ScrivCast is still being finalized, the company intends to offer the product under the SaaS market model with monthly or annual subscription pricing.

Thus far, approximately 400 customers from multiple countries including the US, Australia, Germany, Israel, Poland, UK, have purchased the ScrivCast beta version and are providing the company with valuable feedback on the platform. The following are examples of beta participant ScrivCast apps that have recently launched on the Apple iTunes Store:

The company believes that ScrivCast has significant potential to scale due to the dramatic shift by mobile device users away from web browsers to native apps. According to Flurry Analytics, by the 2nd quarter of 2015, mobile device users were spending 198 minutes a day using smartphone apps compared to just 22 minutes using the mobile web. As the shift from web browsers to apps continues, advertisers must follow consumers and abandon traditional web advertising in favor of ads hosted in mobile apps.

Bloggers and other self-publishers number in the millions, and many are actively seeking mobile publishing solutions. There are 234 million WordPress blogging sites today, representing approximately 20% of all websites worldwide. According to recent surveys, content monetization is the biggest challenge facing digital media producers. Publishers that respond to the advertising opportunities presented by mobile apps will be best positioned to handle that challenge.

In addition to the ScrivCast beta program, the company is currently positioning MagCast as a SaaS product in addition to offering the platform to corporate users that have existing teams in place. The company recently created a corporate solutions unit to provide end-to-end services to corporate clients. These services include content development and publishing and also digital business model development and marketing. 30DC is currently holding discussions with a number of large publishers to sign on as initial clients of the new solutions unit.
