RETRANSMISSION-Geologix Explorations Inc.: San Agustin, Durango, Mexico Trenches Indicate Northeast Strike Extension

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - Dec. 19, 2006) - Geologix Explorations Inc. (TSX VENTURE:GIX)(FWB:GF6) is pleased to report that results from the first three of six trenches indicate that mineralization continues 400 metres on strike from the last drill holes in the Northeast gold trend. The current known resource within the Northeast gold trend extends 400 meters and the current trench results expand the potential target area to double the size.

Trenches "E" and "F" were sampled on the edge of the known resource to establish a "trench signature" over historical drill holes that contain:

Drill Hole SA-71 1.0 g/t Au, 12 g/t Ag / 171 metres
Drill Hole SA-34 4.5 g/t Au, 53 g/t Ag / 54 metres

Trench E 0.90 g/t Au / 36 metres
51.0 g/t Ag / 48 metres
0.33% Zn / 54 metres

Trench F 0.43 g/t Au / 105 metres
15.0 g/t Ag / 111 metres
0.14% Zn / 84 metres

Stepping out 400 metres on strike in an area of no previous drill testing,
Trench "C" assays yielded:

Trench C 0.44 g/t Au / 84 metres
13 g/t Ag / 78 metres
0.10% Zn / 36 metres

Soil sampling by Geologix indicate highly anomalous Au, Ag and Zn values between Trenches "C" and "E" and the last historical drilling. Preliminary geophysical (Induced Polarization) results indicate a chargeability anomaly similar to the known resource is present in the Trench "C" area.

Assays are pending for Trenches "A", "B" and "D" which had some difficulty reaching bedrock continuously throughout the trench length.

Geologix President and CEO Dunham L. Craig, P.Geo. states, "We are very pleased to see these trench results which confirm our theory that the Northeast gold trend continues for a significant distance on strike and matches almost perfectly the trenches over known mineralization. We are also very pleased to see the high Zinc values which encourage us to work further on our model that this may be a large Au/Ag/Zn/Pb system with potentially similar metal value to Goldcorp's Penasquito Project in Mexico."
