VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - March 5, 2008) - WebTech Wireless Inc. (TSX:WEW), a leading provider of location-based and fleet Telematics services, has received a purchase order and signed a provisional agreement with Grupo Nacional Provincial S.A.B ("GNP"), one of Mexico's top three insurance companies (MXK:GNP). Under the terms of the agreement GNP has agreed to purchase 5,000 devices as part of a concept program to be rolled out selectively in its home market of Mexico. GNP has also signed a Letter of Intent with WebTech Wireless™ under which, if the pilot proves successful, GNP and WebTech Wireless will join efforts to develop and deploy over a three year period a global solution across the more than 1.3 million insured vehicles in GNP's portfolio.

Prolog S.A. de C.V. ("Prolog"), WebTech Wireless' master distributor in Mexico will provide in-country support and logistics services to GNP.

This end-to-end solution will enable GNP's call center, customer service and security staff to proactively monitor personal automotive and fleet vehicles, providing Mexican families and industries end-to-end provision and protection services to reduce instances of theft and efficiently retrieve stolen vehicles.

"We are thrilled to have been chosen by GNP, one of Mexico's largest and best managed companies, after a review and selection process which involved more than 45 companies in our industry from around the world. This order together with the possible sale of more than 5,000 Locator units to a different customer announced on January 23, 2008 which we are continuing to work on, signals continuing widespread market acceptance of our products and confidence in our ability to deliver large scale projects," said Anwar Sukkarie, President and CEO of WebTech Wireless. "We would especially like to thank our distribution partner in Mexico, Prolog, and of course GNP for showing such confidence in our hardware and software solutions."

Juan Avila, the Executive Chairman and Chief Technology Officer at Prolog commented, "We have met with many insurance organizations in Mexico and GNP is clearly recognized as the market leader; with that in mind, they were our primary partner of choice and we are honored to be delivering one of the largest telematics insurance agreements to date."

Edward Kulperger, Director of WebTech Wireless' Personal Automotive and OEM business units added, "The insurance industry is a natural channel to deliver this type of solution to the market. The selection of WebTech Wireless validates our global consumer automotive strategy; further, we have many other opportunities in the insurance, vehicle manufacturing and leasing arenas that are well under way and we hope to announce other large agreements in the future."
