Retriever Communications Updates Dispatch and Scheduling Solution to Improve Real-Time Visibility and Job Planning

Latest updates allow field service managers to increase efficiency with more insight into workers' day-to-day activities

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA--(Marketwired - May 24, 2017) - Retriever Communications, a global provider of mobile automation solutions for enterprises in the industrial space, today announced updates to its Retriever Schedule product, further helping field service organizations differentiate themselves and provide superior customer service through scheduling and dispatching.

Retriever Schedule is a multi-user web-based solution that enables efficient job planning, quick and reliable job assignments and dynamic field connectivity alerting managers to when a field worker arrives on site and starts work. Schedule provides organizations with better visibility into how many workers they have out in the field and how many are available for job requests. This can increase the company's responsiveness to ad hoc requests, such as equipment breakdowns or emergency situations, ultimately improving the customer experience. It's easy-to-implement capabilities make it well suited for dispersed service fleets.

Key features of the new Schedule solution include:

  • The ability to manage organizational and resource availability
  • Filters and views to manage Gantt and Jobs lists
  • Live terrestrial and satellite map view providing more advanced real-time visibility to the job, field worker locations and work statuses throughout the day
  • Modern and fast UI/UX design to ensure key information from the field is highly visible and easy to read. The redesigned interface allows a scheduler to quickly and easily perform actions within seconds as opposed to minutes

Today many field service organizations are relying on sub-contracted technicians to complete tasks in the field. Now, the updates to Retriever Schedule allow sub-contracted workers to receive work in individual or bulk assignments and data from the field is distributed to both the organization and subcontractor as one bill, streamlining the process for scheduling, managing and billing subcontractors. In addition, Retriever Schedule is upgradable to provide greater automation in field worker allocation allowing companies to optimize for technology requirements, such as specific skills or certifications, customer preferences and routing efficiencies.

"Painting a complete picture of field operations is how the best field work decisions are made," said Mary Brittain-White, CEO of Retriever Communications. "The latest updates to our Schedule solution provide greater visibility and insight into all jobs that are being completed in the field along with their status. This, in turn, creates more accountability for field workers and improves organizational efficiency, ensuring those at the front line interacting with customers are providing superior service. These new features showcase our commitment to continual product improvement and delivering the most advanced technology for field service management today."
