CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwired - September 07, 2016) - Retrofit, a leading provider of weight-management and disease-prevention programs, today announced that Richard Lindquist, MD, has joined the organization's Scientific Advisory Board. Retrofit's board is composed of a multidisciplinary team of prominent weight-loss experts who provide scientific oversight for the organization.

Dr. Lindquist is a bariatric physician and the former medical program director for Swedish Weight-Loss Services who has practiced weight-loss medicine since 2005. He was a founding member of Monarch Medical Weight Loss Center in Oregon, where he served as medical director from 2006 to May 2009. Prior to weight-loss medicine, Dr. Lindquist spent much of his career in emergency and family medicine. He was named Oregon's EMS Medical Director of the Year in 2001.
Dr. Lindquist is a member of the Obesity Medicine Association, The Obesity Society, The American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery and the American Academy of Family Physicians. He also is Certified by the American Board of Obesity Medicine. Dr. Lindquist earned his medical degree from the University of Washington and completed his residency at the University of South Florida.
