Revera Home Health Deploys GoldCare's mHealth Solution Nation-Wide on BlackBerry® Z10

WATERLOO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Oct. 23, 2013) - GoldCare, the market leader in healthcare management software, is excited to announce that Revera, one of North America's leading providers of accommodation, care and services for seniors, is launching GoldCare's MobilityPlus mHealth application for use on the BlackBerry® Z10 smartphone.

Revera's Home Health division delivers customized services to help clients continue to live independently in the comfort and freedom of their own homes. Now, through the use of GoldCare's MobilityPlus solution on BlackBerry® Z10 smartphones, Revera Home Health care providers have the ability to securely manage appointments and other information-all while in the field.

Using MobilityPlus, Revera Home Health care providers can access their appointment details and driving-route map on their smartphone at the start of each workday. Once at a client's home, they can 'start' the appointment and then update information, 'end' the appointment and securely transmit information in real-time, directly on their phone. The result is an automated workflow that supports improved communication, increased efficiency, and worker safety.

Revera is deploying the devices in intervals and by project completion (anticipated by early 2014), the organization will be using MobilityPlus on more than 4,000 devices across Canada.

"We are excited about the capabilities of GoldCare's MobilityPlus and the benefits it will provide to our organization," says Nicki Morris, VP Operations at Revera Home Health. "With more than 4,000 Personal Support Workers, Health Care Aides and Community Health Workers engaged in the community, this is a valuable tool for us. It's improving our ability to communicate with staff, and our staff are thrilled to have real-time access to their schedules."

With MobilityPlus currently used in the field on BlackBerry® 7-supported phones, developing the application for use on the new BlackBerry® Z10 and Q10 devices was a logical evolution.

"We are thrilled to be collaborating with Revera, one of our largest clients, and Blackberry®, a long-standing innovation partner, to further build on our mHealth experience," says Paula Hucko, GoldCare's COO. "In fact, this year, our mobile health solution is realizing exponential growth-by the end of 2013 we anticipate that there will be approximately 10,000 devices in the field integrated to GoldCare."
