PARIS--(Marketwire - September 8, 2010) - Rexel announces the appointment of Xavier Galliot as Group Director of Sustainable Development. He reports to Pascale Giet, Senior Vice President, Communications and Sustainable Development.

With his extensive international experience in consulting and industry, Xavier Galliot's strategic and operational expertise in sustainability will contribute to strengthening and accelerating Rexel Group's commitment to sustainable development.


Xavier Galliot started his career with Ernst & Young as consultant in strategy and then worked in Japan on strategic partnership projects in the biotechnology sector. In 2002, he joined Rio Tinto Alcan where he held sales & marketing positions on international markets for aluminium products. Since late 2007, he was Sustainability Strategy Manager for Alcan International Network, a business unit of the group.

Xavier Galliot, 37, holds a Masters degree in Economics & Finance. He is a graduate of Bordeaux Business School and is a Stanford University executive program alumni.
